Food Sources

Buzzards feed on small mammals like rats, voles, mice moles and small rabbits. It will on occasions take reptiles and small birds as well. They hunt mostly from perches but will on occasion hunt from hovering or swooping down on prey. They are opportunistic and can often be seen next to busy highways picking off road kills.
